Sibusiso Mxolisi Siyaya,
Sibusiso Siyaya graduated from the University of Swaziland in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics and Statistics, majoring in International Economics and Monetary Economics. In his final year, he received the STANLIB Swaziland Prize for being the best final year student in Monetary Economics. He has a keen interest in Financial Markets, Economic Development and Research.
Sibusiso has experience in Data Analysis and Research having previously worked as a Data Analyst at Swaziland Tourism Authority. He is currently working at Central Bank of Swaziland as a Compliance Officer in the Financial Markets, where he is responsible for Risk Management and Compliance.
His current work experience has served his Financial Markets and Economic Development interests, in particular the financial markets development in the country, as the markets are currently at a nascent stage. Furthermore, in his current role, he developed a good understanding of Financial Risk Management, Investment Management and International Finance.
He has written articles interpreting global financial markets impact on Swaziland and the African economy at large. His articles include one covering the impact of South Africa’s Credit Ratings downgrade on Countries in the Common Monetary Area (CMA).
His plans include obtaining a Master’s degree with a focus in financial markets development and international Finance to aid him in contributing to the financial markets development in the country.
Sibusiso is responsible for planning and advising on The Knowledge Institute’s financial obligations.
