Sephutile Sihle Mhlongo,
Co-founder Country Director
Sephutile Sihle Mhlongo is a graduate of the University of Swaziland. She holds a BA Social Science With Economics and Statistics as her majors, she also received the Dean’s prize for being the best performing student in the Faculty Of Social Science in 2015. Over the years She has gathered extensive experience In rural development With World Vision Swaziland, from which she Identified the importance of personal leadership and education in truly transforming our economy.
She currently works at the Ministry of Finance and is fascinated by the development of statistical models that can better predict appropriate policy actions to improve the country’s economy. Her Interests and work experience have therefore channelled her passions towards education, leadership development, statistical modelling and youth entrepreneurship.
Sephutlle currently serves as a mentor for the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program’s Baobab Platform. She was part of the Young African Leaders Initiative Regional Leadership Centre for Southern Africa’s (YALI RLC-SA) second cohort under the Entrepreneurship Track and has since applied the lessons learnt In her own entrepreneurial journey. She has also attended the Yale Young African Scholars Program for Educators so as to up-skill herself With regards to student advising, particularly when it comes to applying to the United States of America.
As Country Director she IS responsible for ensuring the organization upholds Its mandate, she manages partnerships with local and International organizations as well as developing The Knowledge Institute’s strategic framework for the coming years.
