Phumlile Arubayi is a final year student at the University of Swaziland. She is studying towards a degree in Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering. Upon completion of her degree, she would like to pursue a master's degree in Rural Water Supply and Sanitation so as to work with disadvantaged communities to ensure they have access to safe drinking water and proper sanitation.
She was part of the first cohort of the Swaziland Young Leaders Fellowship Programme, an initiative of The Knowledge Institute, where she developed a passion for youth development, empowerment and entrepreneurship.
She currently serves as The Knowledge Institute's Communication Coordinator. She is responsible for updating the nation on the latest on going educational opportunities as a weekly columnist with The Times of Swaziland, as well as through social media pages.
In the futute, Phumlile sees herself as a mogul in the property and construction sectors having set up her own construction start-up in her home area.
